. PAST . / backstoryRaised by the League of Assassins from birth, human Damian Wayne was trained to become the epitomé of the perfect assassin and heir. He was psychologically and physically abused and manipulated in his early childhood by his grandfather, Ra’s Al Ghul — the Demon Head. Overall, he was intensely accelerated and groomed into becoming a deadly prodigy — extraordinarily skilled in martial arts. Physically beaten and conditioned into illustrating zero emotion nor empathy, he was subjected to relentlessly brutal physical training from a very early age.Ultimately, Damian’s childhood lacked parental love and affection — being forced to commit acts of murder since childhood. Originally, he was veiled as a secret from his father, Bruce Wayne (also known as Batman). However, upon Talia leaving a 10 year-old Damian in his father’s custody - in order to disrupt Batman’s work and enforce responsibility, Damian was now met with a dilemma.. PRESENT . / where they are nowOne idea he secretly fears more than others is the possibility that he is fated to embody the monster that his al Ghul heritage suggests. For his exceeding loyalty to his blood and family, his greatest fear is to always be perceived as a monster in his father’s eyes; to be a reflection of his grandfather and face rejection from his newfound family (the Batfamily). Some nights, as much as Damian hates to admit it, he blames himself for the death of Nobody, along with many others he was conditioned into murdering.
Damian is defined by his love for animals, especially for his dog Titus, Bat-Monkey, and Goliath the dragon. He encountered Goliath after murdering Goliath’s family, yet being faced with his forgiveness and ineffable help. Being misread and mischaracterised by people for an elementary half of his life has taught him that animals genuinely understand him. He hopes that the seeming divide between him and the rest of humanity will be bridged, someday. Perhaps, someday. Moreover, being a highly imaginative person, he has a love for reading manga and comic books, along with many mediums of fictional storytelling.

| Possessing a sharp tongue is not for the weak. Fortunately for Damian, he has an extreme aversion to perceived weakness, or any inferiority for that matter. As a whole, he is significantly loyal to his family, especially his newfound Batfamily on his father’s side. Despite his initial outward criticisms, he is a compassionate Robin who embodies the martial arts spectacularly. To those who first meet him, he can come off as egotistical and arrogant. However, this is not the case. Damian has a brooding sense of self-insecurity, manifesting as his need to constantly prove himself, which can be healed with time and patient companionship. Being Machiavellian until scolded by family, he does whatever he believes is necessary to uphold his prestigious image (primarily achievements and status) - especially in the familial social sphere. Ultimately, what this entails is he desires to perfect the skill of high self-image and vanity to counter his lack of initial confidence. ・ headstrong ・ obsessive ・ psychologically maturing Over time, Damian learns to externally mature and respect non-family / authority figures. However, he is constantly growing in how he interacts with people and how he develops into emotional maturity, as a character. His motivations, which stem from his desire to impress and prove himself, eventually converted to heroism rather than blood. Altogether, Damian’s mantra is the journey of relearning empathy, emotional understanding and, essentially, how to become human again after having your humanity ripped away from you since your adverse childhood. |
“Vanity in the sphere of adaptation makes the individual desire a good public image. They do whatever they need to do to keep up their prestigious image, as their biggest lie is the image of who they are. Social 3s are seduced by the images of the world and feel as if they have to replicate what society values themselves, their need for status and recognition fuels them as it lets them forget their lack of self worth. Their focus is on how they are seen, and they will change their image to fit the values of a particular social group in order to be seen in a good light. Their image cannot be stained, everything must stay admirable. They know how to climb the social ladder, know when to speak up, when to stay quiet, when to act, when to stay still. They are the 3 whose vanity is the most obvious to others, yet ironically, the least obvious to themselves. In short, while the SP3 wants recognition for their productivity, SX3 for their attractiveness, the SO3 wants it for their achievements and status.”

As if piloted by a fluid’s current, Damian’s cloak brushed against the frosted wind in jet-black wisps, his mask concealing his identity in an emerald-hued façade. Eerily, shadows painted the border of the sky. It was, yet another, night in Gotham with young Damian Wayne on independent patrol. Propped primly on the icy, stone rim of the ruins’ roof, he gripped onto the glistering, gunmetal grey surface of his Bo’s Staff. All of a sudden, he sensed a peculiar change in the undirected atmosphere; an unpredicted heightening of temperature. Was it a body, a soul? Perhaps, a fire? Upon whipping around, Damian discovered…“Goliath? What are you doing here?” Damian uttered softly, each word neutrally warm against his plush lips. Suddenly, the brows that were once furrowed deeply into his parakeet green domino, contouring his face, had softened. Goliath always knew how to assuage him. There was a momentary rasp beneath Damian’s words, as if his voice hadn’t quite learned its shape yet. “Did Father send you?”Upon the sight of the rufescent creature, Damian shifted into the flocculent, velvety fur. His fingers, which were twined around the slate staff, seemed to have loosened ever so slightly at the sight of his furred friend, seated, beside himself.
